Kızılırmak river, which was also known as Halys river in Ancient Greek is the longest river in Turkey by -1.350 km-. The Hittites named it Maraššantiya and it constituted the western border of the Hittite Empire. From 9th to 13th century many Christian tribes lived in Cappadocia, in Ürgüp, Göreme, Uçhisar, Çavuşin, Zelve and Avanos area. We offer a chance to see the relics of these ancient civilizations froom a different perspective with our gondola tour along this historic river. It starts every day after 12:30 am and lasts for approximately 15-20 minutes. However, it should be noted that gondola safari cannot be performed under unfavorable weather conditions.
